Shaolin Qigong is often described as the bridge between heaven and earth. Direct experience is the only thing that counts. This is not an intellectual exercise but a letting go of everything.
As we begin the movements, our mind may be busy, but as we continue, our mind slows down. I think of Qigong as a clear blue sky: it expands our mind, opening us to spaciousness—not in a detached or spaced-out way, but grounded and present.
And then we do this the next day and the next. This daily return to practice creates inner stability. It acts as an anchor in the sea of life. It doesn’t matter whether today’s session felt good or not; what matters is simply showing up. Over time, this consistency gives us an understanding that transcends words or teachings— it becomes our own direct experience.
