The Buddha said that the one thing we all seek is happiness. And my martial arts practice is one of my greatest sources of happiness. Why does it increase our happiness? Because our mind gets stuck in habitual thinking and planning and the ancient movements of Qigong and Kung Fu that have been practised by monks for thousands of years in the temples and mountains of China effortlessly introduce our mind to the peace and happiness it already contains.
It’s not adding anything new. It's always there.
Drop the burden of: overthinking, trying, effort, needing to understand, wanting a result.
Allow your mind to naturally settle and your Shaolin practice will bring you home.
