Bodhi Zen - Meditation Mala

The Buddha sat under the Bodhi tree and gained enlightenment. This sacred meditation mala is made from Bodhi seeds. In Buddhism, a mala is used for counting recitations of mantras. Each recitation of the mantra is one bead. A mala with 108 beads symbolises wholeness or completeness, and helps to focus the mind during meditation. The larger bead depicts a hand holding a mala.
