The Heart Sutra which is recited in Zen Temples every day is painstakingly handwritten in Chinese characters on the front and back of this strikingly beautiful amulet. The Buddha of Compassion – Guan Yin – stands on a lotus on the left-hand side. This Jade can be used as an amulet or a hanging. Amulet (also called talisman) means “an object that protects a person from trouble”.
