Longevity Qigong and Shaolin Kung Fu for Health - Level 1 - Exam
This exam is only available to students who have done the Zoom Masterclass.
We are required to charge sale’s tax for EU and UK citizens for all sales through the website. If you’d prefer not to pay sale’s tax, please email with your name and address for the invoice. We’ll send you an invoice and you can pay via bank transfer.
Please note there has been an extension until October 3rd 2022. Please make sure you thoroughly know the movements. The exam will take about 45 minutes. Each person will have a private Zoom session with Shifu Yan Lei. They will go through each section to demonstrate they have good stamina, flexibility and know the Qigong movements. Shifu may also ask for a demonstration of the Instant Health massage so have your bamboo brush with you.
You don’t need to be able to do the full splits but you need to demonstrate that you know the positions and you’re working towards it. The run needs to be done outside and not on a running machine. You can tell Shifu your run time when you do the Zoom session.
If you don’t pass the exam the first time, there will be an opportunity to do the exam once more for no additional charge. Once you’ve passed, you’ll receive a certificate to teach and you’ll be added to Shifu’s website as a professional instructor.

Requirements for Exam:
1. Run
Male - 5k run. Under 40: Under 26 minutes. Over 40: Under 30 minutes
Female - 3k run. Under 40: Under 18 minutes. Over 40: Under 21 minutes
2. Fitness Test- The fitness test is made up of 6 sets.
1st Set:
5 Stance Workout for squat training x 30
Qigong Press Up x 10
Raise the knee x 30
Raise the knee with hands on head x 30
Raise the knee with hands in fighting position ( left) x 15
Raise the knee with hands in fighting position( right) x 15
2nd Set:
Horse stance for squat training x 30
Push up - use fist or palm x 30 ( for women x 20)
Ma Bu 3-punch x 14 ( total 42 punches)
Zheng Ti Tui - Straight Kick - 30 Kicks in total (15 on each leg)
3rd Set:
Gong Bu for squat training x 30
Push up - use fist or palm x 30 ( for women x 20)
Gong Bu Punch - left and right x 20 (40 punches in total)
Shi Zi Ti Tui - Cross Kick x 30 (15 on each leg)
4th Set:
Pu Bu for squat training x 30
Push up - use fist or palm x 30 ( for women x 20)
Pu Bu change to Gong Bu punch. 10 x each side. ( total 20 punches).
Li HeTui - Inside Kick x 30
5th Set:
Xie Bu for squat training x 30
Push up - use fist or palm x 30 ( for women x 20)
Ma Bu Jie Da - Block punch x 20 on each side ( 40 punches)
Wai Bai Tui - Outside Kick x 30
6th Set:
Xue Bu for squat training x 30
Push up - use fist or palm x 30 ( for women x 20)
Traditional Punch. Kai Gong Shi x 10 on each side ( total 40 punches)
Ce Ti Tui - Side kick x 30
3. Static Stamina and splits.
Plank - Hold for 3-minutes ( women 2-minutes)
3 way splits.
4. 8 Treasures Qigong
Explain the Qigong technique in your own words as demonstrated in Shifu’s video. When doing the movements, explain which is inhale and which is exhale. Just hold each movement for one breath. You don’t need to hold the movement for 3 breaths but just say when the moment should be held for 3 breaths.
